The Alpha Course
Have you ever desired to explore the Christian faith in an open, friendly, questions-are-welcome atmosphere? Do you have questions about God or who Jesus Christ is but don't have any place to ask them?
The Alpha course is a 10-week opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed environment with others who are also exploring Christianity. Each week a different topic is presented in an informal atmosphere, where you may ask questions or just sit and listen. Some topics include: "Who Is Jesus?", "Why Did Jesus Die?" and "How Can I Be Sure of My Faith?"
The Alpha course will start on Tuesday night, January 8th , 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. with dinner and an introduction. Feel free to send an email for more information.

Frequently asked questions about Alpha Tuesday nights:
What happens during the Alpha course?
Each Alpha course meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. with a meal. Many individuals attend the course right after work, so bring your appetite; don't worry about dinner and enjoy our hospitality. After dinner there is a video presentation on a topic about the Christian faith. Individuals are then given an opportunity to discuss informally in small groups what they thought about the presentation. Some people ask questions, some don't; the choice is yours. No one will call on you to answer questions, but if you do have questions about the topic, here is the time and place to ask them. The course will conclude each evening at 8:30 p.m. sharp.
Is there child care?
Yes! Each Alpha course has child care for children from newborns to the 6th grade. Children from kindergarten through the 6th grade will participate in a separate Awana Club program at the church at the same time. Separate child care for preschoolers will also be provided.
Where is the Alpha course held?
The Alpha course is held two times a year at Church of the Saviour. The Alpha course is also taught by thousands of churches across the country and around the world. Visit Alpha to find a listing of other courses.
What does the Alpha course cost?
The course is free... the only thing it requires is an investment of your time! Meals are available at no charge. Should you desire the opportunity to contribute a small donation to offset the meal costs, a basket is available for you to do so.
Do I have to commit to all 10 weeks?
No! But we do recommend that you attend at least three weeks to get a taste of the Alpha course.
