Student Ministry

We are FAMILY.
In Student Min, we love each other like family. We love others because God first loved us. As we grow together in relationship with Jesus Christ, we learn how to better serve one another and reach those who are lost and searching. We seek to grow God's family of believers and to equip students to lead the way in building God's kingdom in their communities.

Winter Retreat

The SM Winter Retreat will be at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference on January 10-12, 2025. We will be attending the Winter Chill Youth Retreat hosted by HCBC with the theme "You Belong" (hcbible.org/winterchill). This retreat will be open to students from 6th grade to 12th grade.

Schedule

Sunday Youth: 9:00 to 10:15 am in C200. Middle and High School students will gather for a brief time of fellowship followed by a message from the scriptures and prayer.
Youth Group: Join us on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 8:30 pm in Building F (the gym). Wednesdays are a great time for students to connect whether it be through our small groups, Block Parties (outreach events), or Faith in Action (service projects). Most weeks, students can expect to meet in their small groups (split by grade/gender). During small groups, students will have time to share about their weeks, connect with peers, and spend time studying God's word with the guidance of their excellent small group leaders. On special nights, we take a break from small groups to come together for special events, like Block Parties and Faith in Action. Make sure you check the schedule below (and pay attention to the weekly parent email!) for information about our non-small group nights.
What to Expect if You're New: We LOVE visitors! If you are coming for the first time, we hope you will quickly feel at home and make new friends.

On Wednesdays, when you arrive at check in, you will be introduced to one of the leaders who will in turn introduce you to students your age. The night will start with some fun games and fellowship followed by an extended time in a small group. You'll be part of a small group with students your age and gender. Small groups are a great way of making new connections! You're encouraged to bring a bible, pen, and notebook. Don't have a Bible? No problem! We can provide one for you.

On Sundays, you'll arrive, eat some breakfast snacks, enjoy a large group game, and then settle into for a biblical teaching. Just like Wednesdays, we will match you up with a leader and/or student who can be with you throughout the morning. You're encouraged to bring your own Bible, but you're also welcome to use one of the provided copies.
